Well I would say learn all you can about him if you're interested. I mean not to be nosy, but just kind of check around and see how he acts around others and his personality. I don't see anything wrong with you seeing him if that's what you feel led to do. If he loves his mother and treats her with respect, he's a good guy.🤭😂

@val70 Inquisitive - meaning asking questions. Curious - probably coming from "cure" and meaning wanting to experiment. Intrigued - meaning puzzled and seeking explanations - the great question - Queen of all questions - why ? Then, other things are implied - like being invested in you - having given something to get something back, or just indeed being a predator or prey - wondering who might eat whom, or indeed if a mating opportunity or some other form of mutual benefit is possible.
