I would need more details to know exactly the situation that you are talking about... but I can only give you the closest answer I can think of.
I prefer when a girl dresses casual and relaxed, because I like being casual and relaxed.
I'm not a huge fan of when she gets all dolled up, to look amazing at some party, as she already looks amazing to me, and doesn't need all the fake dolled up stuff, or the fancy dress...
And as an introvert, I know that when she gets all dolled and dressed up, that means we're going to some party or night on the town that I probably don't prefer... and I'm going to have to interact with people that I rather not interact with, while other men are staring at, getting interesting in or talking about my lady, and wanting to take her home with them.
Not to mention the costs involved for a party or night on the town.
So it has nothing to do with the way she's dressing, but all the other events, people and costs that come with it.
