Are highly attractive women all “kept”? And a follow up is it what they really want?

There are very few places that I’ve travelled to where you see a lot of highly attractive women. Sure everywhere you go there are women and you can find attraction in all of them. But it seems the ones with the most are never to be seen. Why is this? Could it be that the men they date or marry are so insecure that they find ways to keep them away from going out? I don’t otherwise get the discrepancy.
