Here is my theory, and I’ve been working it out for a long time. I believe I have a rare affliction I call photosensitive beauty.
This causes me to look marvelously attractive after dark, right about bedtime, but when the sun rises in the morning, all that loveliness corrodes in the sunlight and does not return until night fall.
That’s why the men in my life have always been around at bedtime but in daylight hours (you know, when the lawn mowing and mailbox-painting happens) they are nowhere to be found.
