Should straight married women try sex with a woman? Survey says might improve marriage

Some of the changes in sexual behavior and relationships with spouses and other females following the commencement of bisexual activity by women after the age of 30 were studied by conducting in-depth personal interviews with 50 women. Each participant, at the time of her first sexual activity with another female: (a) was married; (b) was at least 30; (c) was, with her spouse, engaging in consensual swinging activities; (d) was enjoying sex with males; and (e) had no history, prior to age 30, of sexual attraction to females. Generally, the subjects revealed high levels of participation in, and enjoyment of, sexual activity with other females, in addition to high levels of enjoyable heterosexual activity. Their generally happy and stable marriages tended somewhat to improve, as did their overall sex lives, and they saw their relationships with other females as significantly improved. Significant changes in sexual fantasies occurred. In all cases, sexual orientation became bisexual, but overall preference for male sex partners did not change.

That is a taboo subject , but it’s been my experience that many women who haven’t had good relationships with men start to consider doing that very thing . And there is also a great deal of bi curiosity going on . Then I have friends here who enjoy either sex and are completely comfortable with both. I suspect it’s always been that way , only now it’s more publicized .

I think once was taboo. Maybe still is among some religions, regions, countries, etc. But-its far less among younger people. I don’t think admitting you are bi or have same sex desires is a big deal to the vast majority of under 30 kids. @TexChik
My wife after five years of marriage started having a desire to be with a woman. She met a very nice woman, who is also married, but, had girl on girl experience where as my wife had none. They get together about once a month or so. As far as our sex life it has always been good and that hasn't changed. I believe our marriage has been stronger. She is grateful that I let her pursue her bisexual fantasy.
Interesting. I read a study where bisexuality in women tends to be a result more out of curiosity, while it tends to be more hard wired in men. Perhaps that's a factor in the results of the survey. The initial question of whether a married woman should do this is a moral question.

@BizSuitStacy like most things there must be several factors including one’s belief in morality. Far bigger I suspect is there has always been a stigma against “homosexual men” while women just must find sexy looking women desirable.
Certainly things have changed over the years and now gays can marry, be ordained in many churches, be elected to office etc.
having same sex enjoyment being immoral is likely not most peoples view any longer. Having it while married to someone else likely still is.
@AnneHoney I was referring specifically to the marriage. If all parties involved are aware and agree, then no issue.

@BizSuitStacy true cheating is still a problem. This situation I believe was one where husband and wife were open to her having a female lover and it improves their marriage and sex life

I think it’s a great idea if she’s open to it, but the shoe fits males too, bi experiences can make a man a better lover for a woman too.

I am sure a survey would show that many husbands would approve.
Intriguing! Do you have a link?
I can promise you what would happen to my[/i] marriage would not be an improvement

@AnneHoney I don't want my wife going there. I don't even understand why so many men do
