Don’t believe the fake news

But here's the reality: the CDC's budget is now more than 7 percent larger than it was under President Obama's last two budgets. That is, the actual enacted program budgets for the CDC in 2016 and 2017 were both under $7.2 billion, but for 2020 the budget Congress adopted for it is nearly $7.7 billion.

So when bullshiters tell you the budget was cut just laugh.

It doesn't really matter whether the budget is bullshit or not, the truth remains that the US economy, not the world economy, is sliding down an ice-covered hill with the brakes locked up tight and no amount of creative stimulus packaging will ever alter that American-made trajectory of itself.

The reason this is so, is because only yesterday, March 24th, the US Federal Reserve announced publicly that it will start printing more money to cover any financial shortfalls encountered within the detailing of any forthcoming budget involving the CDC.[/c]

@swirlie nah, within a year this will be forgotten bump in the road of our economy.

Yes, perhaps you're right. Printing money and then injecting it into the US economy to prop up it's short prosthetic leg, also makes the interest-owing on the first 23 Trillion of unrelated National debt vanish like magic too, I'm told.

So yeah, I feel much better knowing that investing in US markets over the next year will remain a rock solid idea for the most savvy investor! [/c]

@swirlie once we get to negative interest owing 23 billion will be profitable

To whom? The unwary?[/c]

@swirlie if we ever stop wasteful spending the deficit will shrink. There are times you need to spend. Now is one.

Are you suggesting that when the Fed announced only two days ago that the "printing of money" will be required to fund the 2 Trillion Dollar cash infusion to the economy, that spending that 2 Trillion will shrink the US National Debt?[/c]

No I think it was needed to prevent a depression caused by a freak health issue@swirlie

Economics is more art and theory than science. At least the hundreds of hours of classes taught me that.

Sometimes you have no choice but to take the lessor of two evils.@swirlie

Well, actually AnneHoney, you've obviously never missed a single asshole class yourself, despite those hundreds of hours of Economics lessons that were imparted to you! Don't know how you managed to fit that all in! [/c]
