80/20. who thought up this nonsense?

i read about 80/20, where aparently 80% of women want 20% of men, well if this was true, there would be many disapointed women, when if you look in public you see all sorts of people together, a real mixture of looks,

They might be ignoring the fact that 80% of men desire 20% of women!

It looks like another sexist stereotype to me, and probably intended to reinforce the idea that men have to be ambitious and competitive and trample over everyone else to get what they want.
