Next date I want to break it off with this guy

He proposed a hike but I want to just meet at a coffee shop and end it.

Would it be acceptable for me to do that?

Guys have done way ruder to me, or done it over the phone in a nice way which I accepted, even though it made me sad.

I don't even wanna inconvenience myself with meeting in person.

We have been on about six dates. I don't even think a phone call is necessary
