@MrSimons I'm giving short shrift to the Kalam Cosmological Argument because it's incoherent and self-contradictory. If something that isn't "physical and temporal" created the universe, then it existed outside of time. But without time, you cannot have sequence, so the two steps of an act of will, conception and execution, would be simultaneous. That would make it a natural process, because a conscious mind can only exist in time.

What you're doing is saying "this is the God I need to result in the universe," then pointing to the universe and saying "look, there's the proof that the God I defined created it." So it's a circular argument.

And this doesn't even address your inability to propose a mechanism whereby this convenient disembodied mind could affect material reality, other than to simply assert that he must have because you need him to.

The reason ten-year-olds ask "who made God" is because this is such an obvious question. And theistic philosophers have been tying themselves in knots to come up with explanations. What you really have is a semantic stopsign - not an answer to the question, but a trick to stop further questioning.

"Who made God?"
"You must not ask that question."

You're not making yourself look intelligent by parroting the absurdities you learned in Sunday School and preening because you did such a good job memorizing them.
