Think carefully.

No need for careful thought, it's pretty simple: It is the belief that there are no god/goddesses.

1. there's no proof that gods exist (otherwise we'd all be theists)
2. there's no proof that gods don't exist (they might be lurking around a mountain-top somewhere)
3. there is no compelling necessity to even postulate the existence of gods, and postulating their existence explains nothing... it doesn't even explain itself.
4. therefore i have no gods (I'm an agnostic atheist)

No belief needed

@newjaninev2 "Agnostic atheist" is an oxymoron and self-contradictory, though very fashionable as a term these days."Agnostic" means basically you;re not 100% sure, "atheist" means you ARE sure. Make a choice.

@ChipmunkErnie Did you read what I posted?
Agnostic = I have no definitive knowledge about this.
Atheist = I have no gods (that's the exact translation of the word)

Here's what's sure... there is no compelling necessity to even postulate the existence of gods, and postulating their existence explains nothing... it doesn't even explain itself.

Unless, of course, you can offer a compelling necessity
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@newjaninev2 Nope, no compelling necessity except perhaps an innate need in the human mind to explain the unexplainable just to create a feeling of emotional security. And, yes I read it, and you just actually confirmed that "agnostic atheist" is an oxymoron composed of contradictory terms by your own definition.
