Invitation to pray my dear atheist brothers

Invite you to recite these two prayers my atheist brothers:

Crusade Prayer (76) The Atheist Prayer

Jesus help me to accept the Love of God as it is being shown to me. Open my eyes, my mind, my heart and my soul so that I can be saved. Help me to believe by filling my heart with Your Love. Then hold me and save me from the torment of doubt. Amen.

Crusade Prayer (134) To believe in the Existence of God

O God the Most High, help me to believe in Your Existence. Cast all of my doubts aside. Open my eyes to the Truth of the life after this one and guide me towards the way to Eternal Life. Please let me feel Your Presence and grant me the Gift of true faith before the day I die. Amen

No thanks... Real love, sure. But "love" of God as it is being shown? I'd rather not.

@NerdyPotato Love comes from God, He is the source of love and is love itself. Without God, humanity has no capacity and is incapable of love.
@Lushiro maybe he shouldn't have given it all away. Then he could still have loved people too instead of turning to manipulation... And it's strange that the most hateful people in this world are religious if they're closer to the source of love. 🤔

@NerdyPotato While God gives His Love in full measure. People have different capacities to reciprocate that love in varying degrees towards Himself and their neighbor. The human disposition is the key, and God whom cannot be seen in His complete glory can be seen and loved through the neighbor whom are made in His Image, but you make a very accurate observation and that is one of the many failures of those who claim to follow Jesus but fail His Commandments to love Him and our neighbor. If people loved as God intended, there wouldn't as many copius evils as there is in the world. With the spiritual warfare ongoing its difficult to love.
@Lushiro the world would be a better place if everyone followed the 10 commandments and ignored the rest of the bible. But isn't it strange that atheist generally follow those more closely than religious people?
Lushiro · M
@NerdyPotato Thats why Jesus said if you've been given much. Much is expected. And people who have more grace than others are going to be held at a higher standard with even greater responsibility, than the rest. Atheist may not believe in Him but they are still generally good people with good hearts, everyone whether they believe or not, good or evil has the law written (moral compass/conscience) on their hearts, some simply choose to ignore it and do things despite consequences.
@Lushiro I agree it's within us all, and therefore we don't need a god to be a good person.
Lushiro · M
@NerdyPotato I disagree with not needing God to be good, since we have His Traits embedded in the fabric of our souls, hence why everyone has similar traits and personalities. Without His Grace no one could think a good thought or perform a good action, believer or not. He is the source of every good and we carry His blueprints. We either participate in His Love and Goodness or we create evil on our own.
@Lushiro let me put it this way then: we don't need to read a holy book or perform rituals to be a good person.

@NerdyPotato While the Bible and virtue with moral relativity aren't completely dependent on each other because God gives each person enough light in their conscience to know good from evil, it can enhance ones understanding of what God expects from us and how we are supposed to treat each other, guidelines are always helpful and edifying.
