Jonah And The Whale

[media=https://youtu.be/Cv3tUDiiTGk?si=nlqqZdqZNfIvPU8W]

There are documented videos of people being swallowed by whales, it happens. Jonah was the first case.

Could Jonah survive in a whale? The Bible didn't say it was a whale, the Bible said God created a great fish. It is the church who defined it as a whale. Funny how we can accept mechanical mechanisms like submarines and other submergable crafts humans use to explore underwater but refuse the notion that The entity that created the heavens and earth doesn't have the technology to create a vehicle of sorts to hold and carry a person underwater. And in the ancient days if one saw something like a submarine or any of the things used today in the water they would automatically see it as a big fish.

@Charity What is your meaning? Are you saying that Jonah actually went into a God made submarine?
Charity · 56-60
@JimboSaturn If I was to actually say God made a submarine and put Jonah in I would say it as such.

I said if man can do it, God can do it so much technologically better and the Bible says that God "created" a fish for the specialty of holding and carrying Jonah to land. Whatever it was God created it at that particular moment in Time.

@Charity So to recap, if we can create submarines, God made a better "something" to carry Johan for three days?
Charity · 56-60
@JimboSaturn Christians believe in a supernatural being that we call God, many other cultures believe in a god. His power is endless uncomparable he is what we can call the ultimate scientist.

Now if things like this can be in existence and it's a lot of substantial information out there with highly trained military personnel United States presidents not to mention public figures. Creating something to hold Jonah in his like throwing a dime and a bucket of water.

@Charity I was raised Christian and am well of aware. Wouldn't it be more rational to believe that the story of Jonah is just a story or allegory? I no longer believe in the supernatural so I don't need to do mental acrobatics to try to prove that improbable things happened to keep my world view intact.

@JimboSaturn not asking you or expecting you to believe in the supernatural what you believe is your business.

What I do is not usage of mental acrobatics to try to prove that improbable things happen to keep my world view intact.

My worldview is quite clear, it's a mess and it will get worse; I've watched it for decades getting worse and worse.

Conversation is necessary for the gospel to be read and what better place to have conversations than on the internet. What one refutes another understands and ponders.

@Charity If Jonah living in a whale for three days helps explain the state of the current world, all the more power to you.
Charity · 56-60
@JimboSaturn those are your words not mine I never indicated Jonah in the whale had anything to do with the state of the world today.

But then I see what your antics are.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Charity "Antics"? Please elaborate in a coherent manner what is your point
Charity · 56-60
@JimboSaturn coherent there's nothing incoherent about what I said or the usage of the word antics if you don't know what it mean look it up.
