Atheists, which is better, Meditations (by Marcus arulius) or The Prince (by macivelli)?

I took my mother shopping the other day in an upscale urban area. Like you, she believes that morality must be determined by one book.

Not long into our walk, she did something that the book she reads every single day says not to do. I pointed it out, asking if it doesn’t say in the book not to humiliate beggars.

Of course, she was offended by this.

It doesn’t matter what books you read; they’re all just ink on paper. The same goes for the religions you claim to follow.

You aren't YOUR RELIGION. You are a follower. So if you are deriving a sense of pride from being a follower, you are missing the entire point of Jesus Christ, especially that you wish to undermine human's ability to goodness irrespective of ideologies.

Bible or Quran. No other book can push you away from religions more than either of those two.

Are you saying one has to have some written guidelines to know the difference between right and wrong or what is moral and what is not?
