I took my mother shopping the other day in an upscale urban area. Like you, she believes that morality must be determined by one book.
Not long into our walk, she did something that the book she reads every single day says not to do. I pointed it out, asking if it doesn’t say in the book not to humiliate beggars.
Of course, she was offended by this.
It doesn’t matter what books you read; they’re all just ink on paper. The same goes for the religions you claim to follow.
You aren't YOUR RELIGION. You are a follower. So if you are deriving a sense of pride from being a follower, you are missing the entire point of Jesus Christ, especially that you wish to undermine human's ability to goodness irrespective of ideologies.

@Miram but which of those books is the best?
Elessar · 26-30, M
Bible or Quran. No other book can push you away from religions more than either of those two.

Are you saying one has to have some written guidelines to know the difference between right and wrong or what is moral and what is not?

Neither author existed, so I have determined your scholastic code.

Both were too boring to bother with.

You feel it ☺️
We have an inbuilt sense of what is right and wrong.
If you can shed any gathered conditioning, programmimg and ego youve gathered during your life....and 'feel' below that - there is the natural born morality of your soul 🤗

@OogieBoogie you haven't read either of them have you? Nothing to be ashamed about

@IndigoSavage Nope. I haven't.
I have half listened to recitations of Marcus Aurelius' Meditations, but not paid deep attention to it . It didn't really spike my interest a lot to be honest.
Im sorry, i was just genuinely answering your question. 🤷♀️
And no, im not ashamed of being ignorant on stuff . A lifetime isnt time enough to learn all there is to know.
