Science: God and Religion

If God isn't real it means that they've created God themselves. Even if there were only one true God and all the others were invented the billions of other gods would have been invented and aren't real. If a god can be nothing then it can be anything. Anything can be made into a god, into a religion. Science is the religion for the unbeliever, especially those abandoning their former faith. Its alleged knowledge brings comfort and it tells them how we should live their lives. It creates all things great and wonderous, it gives hope for the future. It should be defended zealously, proselytized in the schools, spoon-fed to the children.

Its made into a crutch. A thoughtless comfort. It warns of our destruction and is corrupt to the core with unbridled greed. If you are not one of the its believers you are scorned and ridiculed by its ignorant worshipers.

Science is just a method of knowing something. Religion is the method of believing something. Whatever suits you, you much choose.

@Renkon There has never been any religion that I know of that has remained true even to itself, much less its original teachings. They always transmogrify for the incentive of money. Take the money away and you take the corruption away. It doesn't matter what science starts out as. I'm not suggesting the scientific method is a religion or god. It has to be transmogrified just as all religions have been.

@BibleData Totally agree with you there. Religion keeps distorting from its original ideas. But then sticking to the Original ideas is also bad. Because what it needs is to evolve.

There was no religion when an idea was established. It was some wisdom, some methods and a way of life intended to enhance humanity from within. When that source of wisdom, say a prophet, passes away, those coming after failed to replicate that kind of wisdom and ended in interpreting it to their logic. That's can go bad.

Thats where religion starts.

@Renkon It has evolved, but that isn't the problem, it evolves into something else. If I start a Renkon religion and over time I completely misrepresent you into the exact opposite of your original intentions for profit isn't a positive move. The only reason for it would be to take advantage of the incentive to do so. Otherwise I would just form a completely new religion without fucking yours up.
