I Am An Atheist

Even if there was a god, prayers are useless.
Why? Because first of all, the Christian god is said to have a plan which implies that he had already made up his mind about everything that would happen, so why would he change his plan to a random person's liking?
And second of all, because apparently everything comes down to our "free will"; whenever I'd tell Christians that despite all their prayers for me I was still an atheist, they'd tell me it was ultimately my "choice", which pretty much implies that prayers don't do shit.

@Emosaur For someone talking about how useless prayer is, you really have no idea how it works. Prayer is about God’s guidance. Not making him do specific tasks. The purpose of it is to feel his support in your life. People ask for certain things, yes, and God always answers, it’s just rarely the answer they’re looking for. Simply because you cannot see how he’s helped, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t.

@Emosaur That’s your fallback? So this post wasn’t even about prayer or trying to grasp it. You don’t care anyways unless someone provides evidence to God’s existence you’re happy with. You go on and on about this one topic yet maintain the narrowest mind possible on it. It’s obvious that all you’re here for is to argue with religion. Not even make the slightest attempt to understand it.

@Emosaur I guess if all your posts were about asking for proof of God’s existence you’d run out of things to write really fast. So that makes sense. Even though that’s all you care about, you got to change it up somehow.
