I Am An Atheist

Even if there was a god, prayers are useless.
Why? Because first of all, the Christian god is said to have a plan which implies that he had already made up his mind about everything that would happen, so why would he change his plan to a random person's liking?
And second of all, because apparently everything comes down to our "free will"; whenever I'd tell Christians that despite all their prayers for me I was still an atheist, they'd tell me it was ultimately my "choice", which pretty much implies that prayers don't do shit.

Wouldn’t it imply that their god wasn’t imposing himself on your free will?

Well, if they prayed for you, I would assume that it would be for you to find their god. If their god were to reveal himself to you as a result of their prayer and not because you actively sought him out, wouldn’t it technically be eliminating your choice?

I tend to overthink things. @Emosaur
