What evidence and facts do you feel people should know beforehand?

@Emosaur I assumed the point was to highlight how narrow-minded Atheists can be about religion

@Emosaur Yeah I know you think that. Atheists usually think that. They're so unaware of their own grandiose delusions that they never take the time to understand what religion really is or why people take part in it.

People forget that without philosophy then science wouldn't even be a thing. The greatest minds in history all were religious people. They didn't deny or reject facts. They studied and embraced them. Because science and religion aren't opposing forces. You can study how the world works and still ask what is the meaning of it all.

@Emosaur I'm not here to convert anyone. But I am curious why you said you'd become a Christian. Do you feel that's the best religion for you?

I don't think you can say philosophy is a dangerous way to think. It's only through philosophy that science was created in the first place. The scientific method is philosophy and was created by a man of the cloth I might add. The big bang also was by a man of the cloth, vaccines too, even Darwin was a devout Catholic until his daughter died and he lost faith due to that.

It's not religion that stops people believing in the big bang, vaccines or evolution. These things were invented by religious people. It's poor US education systems. Look at any religious person who isn't a complete retard (aka the majority) and you'll see they all happily believe in both science and their religion just fine

@Emosaur Yeah you're now just highlighting what I meant when I said "they [in this case you] never take the time to understand what religion really is or why people take part in it".

@Emosaur Yeah because you don't wanna be enlightened. Atheism and your opposition to religion is part of your identity. I could walk on water and you'd still disagree with religion

@Emosaur Statistics show that if something is part of ones identity they'll still stick with it even when confronted with the truth. This is why Trump fans deny he lies or colluded with Russia etc. They identify so strongly with him and his MAGA mentality that they can't see the world any other way. Same goes for you with atheism. I doubt anything I said would get through
