I Am An Atheist

A certain christian has run out of childish insults so, still unable to refute points made by Atheists, is reduced to deleting them to try to save face. :) He even calls reasoned arguments "trolling".

I've had a very similar experience. Once they run out it arument it turns to insults. Their God will be soooo proud of them!

@MarkA That happens very quickly, it takes a bit longer for them to run out of childish insults. ;)

If they spent as much time doing good Christian (or any other religious body...) works as they spent trying to convert and subsequently irritate non believers, the world could be a much better place

@MarkA That's true. I do find it annoying when they claim the credit for "good works" that have been funded by the general public, most of whom aren't practising christians.

@suzie1960 they NEED their small 'victories' in order to look good to 'outsiders'. They fear becoming irrelevant in a modern society as science continues to disprove their theories. We are not naiive, ignorant peasants from the middle ages. We have moved on, they haven't....

@MarkA I see what you mean. The christian apologists are on the offensive already.

It looks like [@Esmeralda} has blocked me rather than trying to answer a simple question. :)

Attack is their only viable form of defence once their argument has been refuted

@MarkA I don't think I've ever seen a reasoned argument supporting their beliefs, just a load of unsubstantiated claims.

You're right, hence my difficulty in taking them, and 'religion' as a whole, seriously. A person's belief does NOT constitute a FACT
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@MarkA Members of other religions seem to accept that. They tend to preface their statements of faith with "We believe...", or word to that effect. A few christians do too but a lot, possibly the majority, express their beliefs as statements of fact that "everyone with a brain knows".
