I Am An Atheist

I was brought up a christian and indoctrinated with christianity at school but I can't say I ever believed any of that rubbish. None of it makes any sense. I don't care if people want to believe that stuff, the only problem I have is with those pushy aggressive nutters who try to force their beliefs onto me.

Woe is you, your parents instilled their values onto you as all parents do

@Rolexeo Actually my parents are not practising christians and didn't really push it onto me. They would usually say they and I were "C of E" if asked because, being white English people, "of course we're christians". It was the school that tried to indoctrinate us with christianity.

@rob19 Many people of my parents generation seemed to think that being white and British automatically made one a christian. Even fairly recently I heard someone assert that it was a legal requirement to have a christian priest conduct a funeral service. They did, eventually, concede that there was an exemption for "foreigners". :(
