I Am An Atheist

I'm an Atheist, been one since I started Secondary school, but I've always questioned the existence of God before then. I also believe that the biggest proof that there is no such thing is a God, and yes I know I'm using the same line of thought here as Theists, is our ability to split the Atom.

I don't understand your logic. What does splitting atoms have to do with anything?
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@Dolimyte flawed it maybe, but it is still my personal belief.

@PikachuTrainer I think you need to read up on your physics. When small atoms, like hydrogen, are fused together to form bigger atoms, a small amount of mass is converted to energy according to E=mc^2. This remains true until we get to iron. Making atoms bigger than iron requires an input of energy. We can get that energy back by splitting big atoms (e.g. Uranium) into smaller ones.

Our Sun emits about 385 yottawatts ( that's 385 million million million million watts) by converting approximately 600 million tonnes of hydrogen to approximately 596 million tonnes of helium every second. The 4 million tonnes difference is what is emitted as energy.

The vast majority of that energy is radiated into space, only a tiny fraction reaches the Earth. This is what some people call "Intelligent Design". :)

Personally, I think that after Jesus was crucified, God decided to see what we would do, now that we aren't held down by fear anymore, it would explain why he has allowed us to do these things

@FallenxShane is the god you believe in omniscient?
So you are acknowledging that there is a God but U dont believe - OK
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@MarmeeMarch No, I acknowledge that there is no evidence to prove that there is a God, and for such a being to exist is an impossibility.
