@whatever1990 hi, yes I can give evidence from personal experience,a few years ago I started getting pains in my hips whenever I walked any distance and they started getting worse especially if i carried anything heavy. I never told anyone until one day at church I asked two friends to pray for me. They prayed for healing in the name of Jesus and I've never had any pain there since, I can go walking again and I've climbed a few mountains and can play football again. I thank God every day for healing me. When it comes to breaking addiction I think of a man called Andy who became a Christian about 2 yrs ago but couldn't stop drinking. He had several cans every night. He went to a Christian healing centre where he was prayed for and not only has he never drank since but he's lost all desire to drink

@TheWildEcho Sigmund Freud also healed people without medical intervention. I've known many people who have beaten their addictions without divine intervention.
I'm very glad that your faith has been a comfort to you, but it is not necessary to bring about healing or beat addiction.
