I Am An Atheist

I'm not convinced that Jesus ever existed based on the Historical evidence presented.

I think Jesus is a myth that the Romans propped up to keep the poor from revolting against their masters.

I'm a skeptic by nature and expect evidence for the claims of the bible beyond the testimony from the bible itself. The Bible doesn't prove the bible.

It's not evidence of the claims of Christianity.

Most of what people call "Evidence" isn't really evidence and doesn't fit my definition of evidence.

By evidence I mean something empirical that can be tested and replicated over and over.

like the proof of evolution because it has predictive power and it's never been proven wrong because all of it's predictive's have been true.

Something that can be peer reviewed and tested over and over and over again with the same result.

and not reviewed by Christians. Reviewed by unbiased professionals who have no skin in the game and no agenda to prove christianity true.

Nothing like that has been forthcoming by Christians. The NEXT point of evidence they use to prove Jesus existed is tacitus but he wasn't even alive in the time that Jesus supposedly existed so he couldn't be an Eye Witness and was around in the 2nd century.

Eye witness testimony is by the way worthless evidence.

Why Science Tells Us Not to Rely on Eyewitness Accounts
Eyewitness testimony is fickle and, all too often, shockingly inaccurate

So even if he claimed to have witnessed Jesus it could have been a delusion.

I want REAL evidence Jesus ever existed and so far as I can tell there is none. There's a forgery and a historian who was NEVER around when Jesus was supposedly in existence and only documented the Cults that were around and only claimed there was a Cult back then that worshiped Jesus.

The historical "Evidence" Jesus ever existed is lacking.

look into Mithraism--it was believed by many Romans and bears a striking similarity to Christianity...and the Nicene Council, I believe, actually held a vote many years after Jesus is said to have died, and they voted to make him divine...but I do believe we can separate historical fact from faith and spirituality, and also believe men sometimes corrupt religion and spirituality for their own means...as in the Middle Ages to give people hope...yet they built lavish churches the poor attended...even today many people misuse religion for their own agenda...
