I regularly have coffee with a bunch of oldies who call themselves the Flat Earthers or Flatties.
They are anything but - the name being a joke to draw attention to the way each of us holds
different views, often quite contrary.
We include a mix of atheists, non-theists, Vedantic theists, Buddhists, vegans, vegetarians, omnivores, liberals, greens, and two conservatives. One claims to believe in fairies and astrology, and another believes that all beliefs are true because whatever anyone believes is subjectively felt as true.
Almost all of us are university educated, half in the sciences and half in humanities.
It leads to the wackiest conversations, and it's great fun.
