There is nothing like seeing the planets to make you realise just how small and insignificant you are

Jupiter and Saturn were visible with the naked eye. I got the telescope out and then saw Jupiter's moons and Saturn's rings

No sign of uranus though
Awesome! And thank goodness there was no sign of my anus.

*trying so hard to not say anything stupid about Uranus you have no idea*
@KingofPizza2 you're better than me. I couldn't refrain from typing it. 🤣

Yeah Uranus is like impossible to see with your unaided eye. It is way too faint, but Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Mars are all bright & visible even in cities with heavy light pollution. Also Mercury, but it's more difficult to observe than the rest.
That is clear to me even when I’m looking at the ocean.

Sometimes I feel like that when I’m reading or watching something that conveys how unbelievably vast the universe actually is.

Where do you live that you can see that? I'd love to see that, but I live in an urban area. I'm pretty sure there's way too much light pollution
