Do the math, if it was real, how many people born on the same day would be meeting someone new...walking out of relationships and marriages, all because that "special" one has appeared in their life...I think it's a crap shoot and if you play the averages there is one that this happened to...

Unfortunately, I've become a pessimistic skeptic in a lot of things.
Everything seems like a waste of time anymore to me

Realistically, you've got it right. It depends on the effort we put into endeavors that pays dividends, in romance, finances and life.

What has made you a pessimist, bad experience?

@Quimliqer law of attraction stuff, horoscope (its nonsense to think horoscopes are like a magic ball...), relationships that I've invested time in that had no positive outcome...
sex! That whole thing can be horrible....

It's too bad you've had a negative experience.
So Many guys, of which I was included for many years, only want to get the lady naked and have their way. That is so wrong as its the time investing in a emotional connection first. Sex without intimacy is just hollow, and people get hurt.

@Quimliqer very true. I've been grateful for this friend of mine. She's that person and I just shake my head and ask "whyyy??? Why?? Why would someone do that to themselves?? Don't you want to save yourself for the right person?? Now you'll be loosie goosie and looking hard"... just not the thing I want for myself.

Well said. I had a female colleague ask once if she should have an affair with someone in the office. My advice was I won't tell you what to do, but will say that's this ever gets out, your branded for life.
Being single isn't a bad thing, one day we do meet that special someone.
