I know very little about India -- food, places, etc. Just assume the lotus position and maybe you'll get a brainstorm 😘

I am in south India and get to Delhi to meet you .. 😜
No worries, you can get all kinds of food everywhere.. but everything will have its Indianess.
But what you would discover is that what you knew about Indian food is nothing compared to what you would get to know about Indian food.
Are you part of any tour group ?

@akindheart Most welcome as my would-be friend, as I shall be travelling to your country soon. Shall connect with you by PM. Yes. Taj Mahal is a breathtaking spectacular. I would suggest you prepare well for the virgin sight by avoiding all other peeks that tourist guide. Inform early that your first sight has to be from a point where there is no other eye sore. The best view is from Agra fort where Shah Jahan was imprisoned during his final days. So look down as much until your tour guide says "Now You can" ..
I do not know how it is now, as my last visit was some 20 years ago.. infested with beggars & photographers. Ensure that no one nears your group. And spend as much time wandering alone and not even let others in your group influence you. Selfies are the worst way to spoil the experience. Reserve it towards the end after completing one full round.
Also do not evaluate other forts lesser thinking about Taj Mahal. Fathepur Sikri / Sheesh Mahal reflect a lifestyle that Taj does not.

@in10RjFox the Taj is the greatest love story ever known to mankind. that is how i am going to look at it with the love that it was built with.
i heard that the beggars are really bad and to not give them anything.

I would like to visit India,i have watched some videos on the Yamuna and the Ganges rivers and how polluted they are, then i watched some videos on the slums,i find it very interesting,im not sure i would bathe in those rivers. :(
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Ramrod i know right?? i think they cremate people in that river so there are all kinds of stuff in there...not for me. i know there is extreme poverty but can't wait to see the country

braveheart21 · 61-69, M
A happy life is way more important than the money... I realised that after i retired last November... You only live once no matter what Ian Fleming and James Bond say 😂😂@akindheart
myotherlife · 61-69, M
@akindheart I understand that, it is my biggest hurdle
Cool...
Get a decent hotel, you will get any food you like.
When you go to Agra for Taj mahal, you can stay in Radisson that's in Noida and can travel from there to see Taj mahal.

There are fast food chains like McDonald's, but depending on where you are you may not be able to get a beef burger
akindheart · 61-69, F
