Western intellects find hard to stomach the fact that India has risen from the debacle of a colonized, pillaged, and oppressed nation to become one of the world's superpowers. It is one of the few economies that continues to grow despite the odds. They can't accept the harsh reality that Europe no longer has clout in the east.
