My daughter had a gymnastics competition at school today
Eleven-year-old competitive gymnasts typically perform at high, elite-track levels (USAG Level 9-10 or Hopes), showcasing advanced skills in vault, bars, beam, and floor.
These young athletes often train intensely—sometimes daily—developing significant strength, flexibility, and dedication. At this age, they are often on the cusp of junior elite competition.
Key aspects of an 11-year-old gymnast include: Skill Level: Many 11-year-olds are competing in Level 9 or 10, preparing for elite qualification, or, like Love Birt, already training at the highest levels.
Training Intensity: Intense, specialized training is common, including long hours, strict routines, and sometimes long commutes.
Accomplishments: At this age, gymnasts may achieve significant titles, such as winning the All-Around at the Hopes Classic. Examples: Notable young talents have included Love Birt, Ava San Jose, Nelli Audi, and Kaliya Lincoln.
Even in developmental stages, these athletes show intense focus and passion for the sport.

I enjoy watching gymnastics. It is amazing watching these elite athletes compete. The pressure alone that they must endure keeps me tense, not to mention the physical ability. I know the hours and hours of training to become and compete at an elite level must be grueling. Such an intense sport.
