I Love Art

I have done art since i was a child, and well i'm 24 just now, so can't say that was too long ago lolz..I've enjoyed, using my favourite art tools..and because i work best with soft pastels and pencil, i get the best result and find it difficult to attempt something else without having that slight feeling of false hope..a sort of "just give up" feeling if im lost and don't exactly know where im going when trying something new.
And by new, i mean paints..But id love to get there. I can't tell which paints are best for the image i'm doing (oils, watercolour, acrylic,).(blotches, dabs, scrapes, strokes, blending,)..i paint cartoon models i make from clay, but thats a 3D model of an animated character. So its basic bright colours....i want to paint an image, i just don't want to jump straight in, after buying everything for it and end up ruining it.
Heres the pastels..
And heres the clay..

And now i want to paint an image but last time i painted an image was when i had to at school lolz...im completely lost xx:/

You are very good! Especially the Bowie drawings. Well done.

that's... really, really good. I'm very impressed. you obviously have the talent, I say explore new ideas and formats and see where that takes you. :)

@Nobody37: thanks :) xx...what i say about painting flat images is true though lolz, using paint to try and make a flat image look 3D, using water to blend colours and it ends up soaking the surface (that was when i done it on paper though). So i want to try it on a canvas for like the first time ever..but even a canvas alone is expensive..so i hold my breath i dont ruin the image lolz xx

You seem to be quite talented at making work so I guess with some practice you'll start finding your own paintings more satisfying.
