@bijouxbroussard Yes she was extremely talented. She did all kinds of art from painting on race cars to ceramics to cartooning to her beautiful acrylic and oil paintings. Smart lady too.

There are so many artists from different schools of painting that I admire, but if I had to choose one then it would be Edvard Munch. I adore The Expressionists, and The Scream in particular seems to encapsulate the entire human condition - the agonies and exasperations of living.

For 2D I really love Monet's Water Lillies and other paintings from his garden. I think for me they edge out Van Gogh.

Im not sure i could ever have a favorite artist.... there is just too much beautiful art to even make a comparison or choice.

I personally love impressionism: all mood and light and chaos.
So impressionistic that the subject matter comes second to 'the feel of the light'.

...and i love COLOUR

Like the wall paintings by santhals, bhils, gonds. The clothwork, kanthastitches, dye prints, the metal casts like dokra. Mainly from eastern india, where the colors are richer and style distinct.

My favorite artist is Edmund Blaire Leighton. I like his depictions of chivalry. He truly makes me yearn for a time period over a thousand years ago
