Question: Do you think also that art or rather creation is pretty much illustrative of the emotions behind it? There are numerous examples of that even today, but first of all I do think that one needs to get away from the idea that art or true creativity isn't personal.
I saw on FB today some academic denying that even Mozart's music was his own. Personally, I do think that the genius of creation is a very personal expression. I have a cousin who's a builder. He always posts his constructions on FB. It's not art but highly functional nevertheless.
There's indeed the builder's pride there of having done something good. Whenever I hear or see it differently I find it oh so off-putting. What? There are no geniuses alive nor true craftsmen any more? I fear that we're all lulled into believing that these day. Having worth isn't the same as anything gilded.
