Local gallery to close. A unique space gone.

There is a space for young and old new artists to give expression for there work near the seafront, next to the trendy wine bars, nail bars, coffee shops, bric a brac, so called antiques, book shops, and galleries.

A new exhibition every weekend. Some good, some bad, some unique. Now the landlord will not renew the lease.

Here is one of the last exhibitions.

Very sad loss- I hope the local artists find somewhere else suitable. Presumably the landlord has found a way to make more money from the property.

@ArishMell I suspect so, I’ll post the changes when they come.

The local council does not help. It’s answer to street art is to white wash it over.

@peterlee Ah - but what "street art"? Genuine art by talented amateurs, on walls with the owners' full blessing... or mere graffiti by illiterate, antisocial vandals?
