For centuries, the Sky-Eater has sat upon the jagged peaks of the Cinder Mountains. He is the last of the Talon Guard, an order of knights tasked with preventing the clouds from catching fire. His armor is etched with the history of a kingdom that no longer exists, and his mask is permanently fused to his face by the heat of old battles. He doesn't move because he is waiting for the one thing he was promised: the return of the rain. Until then, he is less of a man and more of a landmark—a monument to a duty that outlived its world.
