Art, artists, being an audience and experiencing it

I’d rather be an audience to a work of art than be an artist. It’s intriguing as everyone wants to be an artist in today’s world. I personally feel that being an audience to a work of art is also part of the whole experience of art

I mean what’s it’s (art) purpose if there’s no one to actually feel or experience it

Agreed.

To me, true art is not just self-expression; that would be just self-serving Post-It Notes.

True art communicates something, which is why finding an audience, even eventually, is really crucial.

The greatest art communicates the clearest to the most people.

I think this is why music without words is potentially one of the most effective forms of art for communicating to many people.
