Art, artists, being an audience and experiencing it

I’d rather be an audience to a work of art than be an artist. It’s intriguing as everyone wants to be an artist in today’s world. I personally feel that being an audience to a work of art is also part of the whole experience of art

I mean what’s it’s (art) purpose if there’s no one to actually feel or experience it

It has many purposes.

Theres graphic art: which is usually directed at mass recognition - usually purposed for advertising and branding.

Theres therapy art : which is for releasing and soothing inner turmoil.

There's craft art: which is a wide category from practical to decorational.

There's Mastercraftsman art: which is usually for useful items so well crafted they become art as well.

Theres expressionistic art : which implies feeling over form.

I could keep going.

But lastly, there is art that is created for no other reason than the desire for it to be created.

In fact I'd go so far as to say most art is initially created this way.....and then develops an audience if prolific enough.

Many want to be an artist.
But i believe you are born one.
You don't become, you are one😊
