A cluster of bison statues near the dip in a road in the south part of the city. People think that the dip is between two hills. There were no hills, the dip was due to a huge herd of bison that would take their dust baths in that area until they wallowed out a huge low spot there. An Oklahoma historian wrote about this in a newspaper column over 25 years ago. When the Sooners came to claim land some of those bison were still in the area. Every time I drive by it I think about how there should be bison statues there.

@Tracos It is. There were hundreds of bisons coming there every day to take dust baths.
