I Drew ONE HUNDRED Hands ∼ My Progress 🖐🏻 ✨

Learning new things can seem daunting, but the idea of simply drawing a motive 100 times, feels like a far easier task to complete. I did this to find out if drawing something 100 times, without worrying about the learning aspect, would improve my skill.

I think it is safe to say that my skill did improve, but I did not become a master of drawing hands. I believe I peaked somewhere at around 80 hands, and that might have something to do with the fact that at that point, I simply became tired of drawing hands.

The most impressive result of this challange, is not how my skill imoroved, but the way in which my confidence improved! I believe that I need to study how the hand moves, the sinew and muscle, in order to become a master of drawing hands, but that felt like an impossible task by the time I started this challenge. It now feels like the natural next step towards improvement.

I think we often get cought up in the big picture when learning new things, and what this challenge did for me, was that it closed the gap between leaning something completely new, and being able to confidently study the topic without struggling.

I sincerely recommend this challange to anyone who feels intimidated by the idea of learning a new skill!

Byeee! 👋🏻

You really know how to dedicate yourself and you inspire me a lot!
That's lovely and dedication

@greensnacks It took me 3 days, but only because I didn't draw more than 10 hands on day 2. I don't really need to be able to draw hands very well, but it feels good to be more confident in drawing them whenever I do have to. =D

Fantastic job at drawing something that is truly difficult to master. You are the new DaVinci.

Keep up the good work.
Def change / improvement!
Only 3rd one is good

@Royricky09 That one was indeed surprisingly good, but much more anatomically incorrect than some of the later ones.
@Nightwings Um, excuse me, they all look pretty good to me. The earlier ones represent an art style that's more finished with less details, cartoony, and the later ones look closer to real life.

@SinlessOnslaught I think he was just pointing out his favourite, because none of these hands are super good, they're all quick ballpoint pen sketches. That's totally fine because the whole idea of this challange is that I went into it blind, having no idea how to draw a hand to begin with.

handjob you're doing it wrong

@TheRascallyOne Ohh, that's gonna be my next 100 challenge.
