I Drew ONE HUNDRED Hands ∼ My Progress 🖐🏻 ✨
Learning new things can seem daunting, but the idea of simply drawing a motive 100 times, feels like a far easier task to complete. I did this to find out if drawing something 100 times, without worrying about the learning aspect, would improve my skill.
I think it is safe to say that my skill did improve, but I did not become a master of drawing hands. I believe I peaked somewhere at around 80 hands, and that might have something to do with the fact that at that point, I simply became tired of drawing hands.
The most impressive result of this challange, is not how my skill imoroved, but the way in which my confidence improved! I believe that I need to study how the hand moves, the sinew and muscle, in order to become a master of drawing hands, but that felt like an impossible task by the time I started this challenge. It now feels like the natural next step towards improvement.
I think we often get cought up in the big picture when learning new things, and what this challenge did for me, was that it closed the gap between leaning something completely new, and being able to confidently study the topic without struggling.
I sincerely recommend this challange to anyone who feels intimidated by the idea of learning a new skill!
