Painting today, a piece from the various photos I took in Siena, Italy
I have my work easel, and I have another easel by the screen window on which are pinned the photos I took when I was in Siena recently, to use in creating my painting. It is a slow process doing it this way because I have to pin the photos right and make note about which element I am taking from each one to create the image I want to show.
I have the heating cranked up underfoot out here, and I have my waxed cloth apron on which I like to work in. The bib of it covers and holds my breasts and the skirt of it covers my lower torso. It's open at the back, and the ties are simply bowed, not knotted, so I don't have to take it off if I need the toilet, I can just sit and pee!
I shall likely work on this painting for two weeks or so before I have exactly what I want. It will be a mix of techniques used to deliver the image, which with my selection from the photos, promises to be a good effect. I am working in gouache to begin with, I have a coloured pencil that I outline in to contain my flamboyance.
