Fellow Art Models. Robe or No?

Poll - Total Votes: 7
Yes. If you're not on the model stand, you're not working and should be covered.
No. It's a carry over from days gone by. You don't need a robe these days.
Depends on the situation. (If so please describe the situation in the comments)

I'l start. Normally I'm a definite yes. However I've been in two situations when I did not wear a robe.

The first I was working for a sculpture class and the instructor asked me to go robe-less so the students could observe muscles in motion.

The second was when I was working with another model and she forgot her robe. The studio was chilly and she was cold almost to the point of shivering. I lent her my robe and went nude the rest of the session... including breaks.

I'm surprised that so many people feel it's a carry over from another time. Even today, every new place I work at tells me to remember to bring my robe for breaks.

Very gallant. I got a guy to take off his robe so I could leave a room, then didn't give it back 😁
Interesting. Your two exceptions make fine sense, too!
