I've always loved the creatively morbid horror design in certain manga and comic book artists. Even when I was a kid and read Spawn comics, it's disturbing but it's so alien Im fascinated. Sort of like the black paintings of Francesco Goya or
It makes a genuine effort to capture the unknown and produce something unexpected. I like stories to go into extremes, it adds depth to character development and emotion when it does happen. At least that's what I've consistently found. And maybe it's what really allows me to be enthralled in something so unreality. Nobody wants to go to the darkness so the their stories sound the same I suppose.
