Art rant, lack of inspiration?

These days I can't draw, actually I would have liked to rest my mind but I can't. So I have anxiety about doing either of these things.

Last night I dreamed of making good art, not something extraordinary but still satisfying. I dreamed of meeting new artists etc, something I didn't do during this shitty pandemic.

I'm in a dry spell, too. Haven't worked on any art in a couple of weeks; have and idea for a prose poem but can't get started writing. Do manage to noodle around on my bass while watching TV, but that's about it for creativity these past few weeks. On the other hand, I have been doing a lot of no-thought-needed things like cleaning the basement.

I think we have an idea of what we want it to look like and we can never reach that kind of perfection. We stop learning to enjoy the process.

@V00doo Exactly. For me it's also validation. I like raw, simple and quick sketches that reflect the moment but that's not enough for most people. If something drags for too long, the passion and interest is lost for me.
