If it's any consolation it was unlikely to be of real bronze, as that is not brittle!

@Sharky86 Certainly try that.
Look at the broken surfaces. If they are silvery-grey and rather crystalline it's likely the statue is cast from from some zinc or alumium alloy.
Those are difficult to repair by soldering that anyway will damage the coating, but it may be possible to use a suitable adhesive, reinforced if possible by a small pin drilled into both sides of the joint.
