I spent some time with my mom a few weeks ago at a hotshop and we learned to blow glass. It was SO much fun. I really enjoyed trying something new. Here's my lovely momma working on a Christmas ornament and photos of the things I made; 2 cups and a super ugly candy dish. I thought the colors would come out red and emerald but they cooled to a brownish and mint?
@BushBoy the instructor said handles and stemmed peices are a bit too challenging for a first timer but I wanted to make a stein for my husband. Maybe if we make it a "thing" to go back a few times a year I'll be able to handle it...
@JamieDeer I definitely have to try this out. Hopefully we have something that's not too far away. I can take my mom with me.
I hope you don't mind that I followed you. I try to follow people who have decent posts, in order to prioritize their posts. I think that's how it works.
Cool.. even the brown glass is nice.. it has cool lines.. i just love blue in general and that’s a rich deep color of it 🙂@JamieDeer

All colours when they date themselves become of a slightly muted tone? Like autumn with falling leaves, the setting sun while brilliant displays a lot of hues orange and amber. If you watch a fire put itself out, yes they glow hotter and with more fiery intense, but that even settles upon something more muted?
