Do you appreciate abstract art?

Do you only like paintings, sculpture, etc. that is representative of something real or can you appreciate a work of art that is more about color or shape and isn't meant to "be" anything in particular?

Depends on the artist. I find Piet Mondrian really fascinating, especially when you see how his early, representational painting of fences, windmills, buildings, etc. evolved into his totally abstract later works focused on grid patterns. It was there all along!
