I lived on a sunflower farm...that ain't a thing, lol. They face east, track the sun, and then face east again. At least when they're growing. When they're mature, they just chill 😂 on cloudy days, they just move where the sun is supposed to be. Some do occasionally face other directions sometimes. And sometimes the older ones droop and look at the ground.

@HijabaDabbaDoo They're usually harvested before that point anyways. I'm sure there's some type of symbolism there. 😂
The really big ones that people typically grow to harvest sunflower seeds droop a lot. They're just top heavy, I suppose. The younger ones track the sun together, but there are always little rebels that feel like growing all weird.
You know when they're ready to be harvested when all their petals start withering and falling off. After that, they look kinda creepy and you don't really even wanna look at them at that point. They'd freak me out as a kid 😳
