I expanded it and looked at different aspects of it... Hence the swearing🤣.... It's truly beautiful - it's hard to paintings like that and keep a hold of the relaxed ambience of nature - it cam get 'tight'

But - that's definitely one to look at, amd get lost in.... Respect - great respect🙏🖌

@OogieBoogie Thanks. I've never entered an art show because they all demand them for sale. I have fewer than 10 original paintings, and my wife wants this. But I just entered this in a show this week that allows NFS! If they like my photo it goes on display as one of the finalists. Seeing what you're capable of means I value your comments, because it won't be judged by people who go, 'wow it looks like a tree.' I originally learnt with a tonal impressionism style - but playing with portraits and then the incredible textures and details of the fingers of nature I felt in this place meant I had to learn new techniques to try to capture it - but try to maintain my control of tone and the big picture. I was taught to paint from two metres away. Good lesson.

@Abstraction yep, once you get to 'see', you understand why painters do that thing of 'walking back, looking, walking close, looking, walking back again 😁.... You need not only a detailed eye, but to keep your eye also midground and distanced.

Can't tell you how many works I've stuffed up by staying too close to it!!! 😁
