I'd like to be able to say as a male if you TRY you'll be sure to fail, but I also have pretty strong impression the people who spam-message everything remotely female-looking eventually get lucky. Probably more than a few, judging from the constant barrage of women making posts complaining about how men on SW always leave them, or can't be trusted.
On the one hand life is about creating opportunities, on the other as even that example indicates, "luck" can be very relative. People aren't grouped by location here, and most people probably aren't telling everything, true. And people who try to chase absolutely everyone will catch a catfish and not someone they want or are happy with. But yes, single guys who aren't totally antisocial kind of have to keep their options and heart open wherever they socialize.
