Insult Or Compliment?

I was going with this guy, last night, and after the deed was done i had dropped into the conversation that it was coming up to my birthday.

Now, this guy I've been seeing regularly...for the last...let's say....8 or 9 years...he's very nice.

He asks my birthday...and I just reel off the lot, as you do..23rd May, 1970...the year..everything.

It's a natural instinct.

He's surprised and says...

"Bloody hell, Samantha..." (I always tell people my real name) "...you're a bit like Joanna Lumley! Never ages one little bit and everyone wants to give you one!"

I took it as a compliment!
