Or if it is, it's restricted. Like I heard of one state, that 16 year olds could hook up with 16 to 18 year olds. And 17 year olds could hook up with 16 to 20 or something like that.

But you still had to wait until 18 to hook up an old 40+ year old like Matt Gaetz

@sstronaut That's not how the age of consent works. What you're describing are "Romeo and Juliet" laws, where the age of consent is set at 18, but close age exceptions for 16-17 year olds exist.

In half of the states in the U.S. and most countries in Europe the age of consent is set at 16 or (in case of Europe) even lower. That means a 16 year old can legally sleep with a 40 year old, as in your example.

I still disagree with original posters saying most younger than that are begging for it, especially when applying to a man over 40.
