I love those little fishies.. I used to have many! The boys just don't know how to give up!

@SW-User yeah the men are relentless and I keep them separate actually 🤣 but they're notorious for impregnating the females before I notce their colours
I have way too many and I'm selling them off slowly.

@caccoon Oh, their population can explode. I started with five and in a year had at last count over 80. Then when I introduced another fish they all slowly died one by one. It was sad to watch. I ended up just letting the tank cycle forever after before introducing more fish. I now have pretty guppies, not as endearing as those endlers, and don't want to mix endlers in as they will crossbreed.

@SW-User yeah I had ten to start, five male and five female. As soon as it got to about 25 I set up a big roaming tank for the males, and left the females in their own tank, but they're still popping out babies randomly if I don't notice those horny little males

@caccoon I remember watching their mating game. I sometimes felt for the girls, there would be three to four men chasing anyone of them at almost any given time. My tanks slightly small to put a divider in and thankfully, the guppies which can explode in population (almost same species), endlers are essentially a rare guppy, that's not happening - yet - this time.

@SW-User yeah the men can be asses. I typically sell them 1M 2F ratio

@caccoon Good idea, I've heard some fish stores suggest 1- 3 ratio to help the girls.
